Before going to the mission field Patrick was a project manager for a large construction firm in NC. While active in the local church, Burlington Christian Church, serving as youth sponsor, he responded to the need of a veteran missionary in Ghana. After serving three years in central Ghana building a daycare / church building and administering benevolence projects for the mission he responded to the call of fellow missionaries in Accra, Ghana. They requested his management expertise in large projects. As is Patrick's normal mode of operation he worked himself out of that responsibility so that now Ghanaians are doing the bulk of the work managing and building the new campus.  He still consults on occasion when asked by the college and other missions in Ghana.

Patrick just completed the development of the School of Community Development, a school under the new university structure.  This School will be the home of several new degrees at GCUC designed to meet the academic as well as spiritual needs of Ghanaians.  The first degree is a B.A. in Development Management and is awarded by Wales University under an affiliation agreement.  All degrees at Ghana Christian university College are awarded by Wales University.

The degree, BA in Development Management, was officially accredited by the University of Wales, UK in Feb. '07.

In accordance with his philosophy of non-dependence in development work Patrick handed over control of the School of Community Development to Dr. Augustine Tawiah, former President of Ghana Bible College, in Kumasi.  Patrick now lectures in Management, Development Theory, Organizational Behavior, Management Information Systems, and Human Resource Management.  He is known throughout the missionary community in Ghana as a man you can call on for assistance in these areas.  He consults with Ghanaian church organizations to help them create more dynamic ministries. Patrick is also currently enrolled in a PhD program at Northcentral University studying Organizational Psychology.  His current research involves the institutional capacity transfer process between Northern NGOs and their counterparts in developing Africa.

Our family has given itself to be used in God’s kingdom on earth to help in the facilitating of the "Good News" about our Lord Jesus. Our efforts at Ghana Christian University College are only for the glory of God, not ourselves or any man. We invite you to look over the information contained here and if it moves you, then join our team for this "Great Work of the Lord". You are invited to participate in God's agenda towards educating and evangelizing West Africa. Come and be a part of the future of God’s kingdom in West Africa.

My responsibilities with Ghana Christian University College at present are to facilitate and develop the new School of Community Development and the Development Management degree program, teach in the new Graduate Program, and consulting in the building of new campus facilities. As part of African Mission Evangelism I also have responsibilities in gathering the resources of Christians world-wide to assist in spreading the Good News of Christ Jesus to all who have not heard and to teach Restoration Movement ideals to the denominations so that only God is glorified.  It is my sincere desire to educate motivated Christians in such a way as they can play a more active role in the development of Ghana on a spiritual as well as physical level.  We at Ghana Christian University College strive to be a premier Christian university in West Africa, bringing hope through Christ to a region of the world that is ready for the truest freedom, a freedom only Christ can give.
